Overview

Shishapangma, also known as Gosainthan, is the fourteenth highest mountain in the world and the only 8,000-meter peak entirely within Tibet. It stands at an elevation of 8,027 meters (26,335 feet). The mountain offers a challenging and rewarding expedition for mountaineers seeking to conquer one of the world's highest summits.

History:

Shishapangma was first climbed on May 2, 1964, by a Chinese expedition team. It remained closed to foreign climbers until 1980 due to political reasons and Tibet's restricted access. Since then, it has become a popular destination for mountaineers looking to test their skills on a high-altitude peak.

Rules and Permits:

As Shishapangma is located in Tibet, climbers must obtain permits from the Chinese government, and the expedition must be organized through an authorized operator. Climbers are required to follow the local regulations and respect the customs and traditions of the region.
